The Island is bustling with tourist in anticipation of Islandfest, starting today and going through Sunday, with crafters and food in the Memorial Park downtown.
It is the event of the year, when family and friends come back to gather together with cookouts and sleeping in tents in the back yard. The island is in full swing and everyone is excited about the event. Kids running around, adults running around, golf cart all over the streets and fun abounds. If you have never been there, it is something to see.
Local golf cart parade theme this year is Mardi Gras revisited. Watch for the old firetruck that says has the Caddy Shack Square banner representing the Wacky Shack...beads, beads, beads!
Stop in at the Beach Rack for your car sticker shaped like the island, KI oval or flip flop design and some even in tie dye, yum
If you are missing your work out, sign up for the KI Fitness Center or get a massage between checking out the crafters in the park.
Be sure to get your glow necklace at the Wacky Shack, located in Caddy Shack Square to be ready for the 9:45 Firework display and Enjoy the Show!
